The prototype for this first publication from Awen Press, is currently on show at the Liverpool Central Library, as part of a group exhibition organised by Liverpool Book Arts during October 2024.
It was inspired by the theme of the exhibition : Art, Science and Imagination. Starting from nothing, I began to draw using monotype printmaking, which I am working up into large, two colour acrylic engravings.. Faces called out, and so did plants; and the project evolved into a visual meditation on the archetypes of Mother Nature, of woman, of Curandera, of The Crone.
The book is currently under further development and I hope to print a limited edition of 50 copies before the end of the year.
